Started in 2011 by Alecia Plaetz, Gray Area Interiors was created with the idea that there is no right or wrong, design is a gray area.

In the design industry since 2007, Alecia worked for HOM Furniture in Roseville, MN. She transferred to HOM Furniture in Eau Claire, WI when she was accepted into the UW-Stout Interior Design program and took over as their visual merchandiser where she was responsible for maintaining an 80,000 sq. ft. showroom. She also interned with Gabbert’s Design Studio in Edina, MN before receiving her degree. Alecia loves the creative process of bring potential to life through design.

Outside of the showroom, Gray Area Interiors is involved with the Chippewa Valley Home Builders, serving on a number of committees and at the state level as well as being a part of the Chippewa Valley Rotary After Hours club and Rotary Feeds. Alecia is also a Career Counselor with the United States Army Reserves.
